Many thanks to Mom Egg Review for publishing this poem that had been rejected many times and I had kind of given up on. However, I felt it matched their submissions call, so I sent it out on a whim! This poem really did start from a dream while I was reading Alice Notley. The poem contains many layers to it, but it seems especially poignant right now.
