A huge thank you to the folks at Talking About Strawberries All The Time for publishing the first pieces from my series of Visual Poems: Iris Basilicas. Each piece also bears the name of the variety that was collaged into the poem. These pieces were inspired by the Iris varieties in gardening catalogues, combined with the architecture of basilicas. The materials I used in creating them were: watercolor, hand-cut collage, acrylic, marker, and oil pastel.
