“Dear Father”

Sooo grateful to Vagabond City Lit for giving a home to my first published CNF essay! This one was not easy to write—about my father and how I wish I could ask him questions I have about memories, like us bicycling to his childhood home (and place where his father unalived himself). We also would drive by there a lot, even when I was much older and he moved out of South Bend. He would stop by there when he was town, but yet he never spoke of his father or childhood. The photo is my dad in front of Webster st. (facing the street) in 1967, a couple years after his father died.
