“Florist’s Dream: The Flood”

When I got word that my debut, Water Castle, was going to be published, I started having all these dreams that I was still working as a grocery store florist, which I did for 13 years (and stopped in 2017). Anyhow, I took it as the muse telling me I needed to revisit and resurrect this subject!! I had removed all my florist poems from my manuscript, so now this is what I’m working on!
Many thanks to Hiromi Yoshida , new editor of Flying Island, for publishing the first poem in this series! Very exciting to see poet Sarah Seybold in this issue as well! (She happens to have a poem forthcoming in my Spring Issue of Indianapolis Review!)
